Edexcel Level 7 BTEC Advanced Professional Award or Certificate in Management Studies

In today’s international employment market postgraduates will often be expected to have management skills. In recognition of this fact, David Game College has made important changes to the Pre-Masters Course. Starting with the September 2010 Intake, all Pre-Masters students will, in their second semester, be taking the Edexcel Level 7 BTEC Advanced Professional Award in Management Studies, with the option of taking further units in the third semester to complete the Edexcel Level 7 Advanced Professional Certificate in Management Studies if they wish.

The Award consists of three units while the Certificate consists of six. Starting in semester two Pre-Masters students will take the following three units: Advanced Professional Development; Managing Finance for Strategic Managers; and Management Research-Project and Presentation.

For those wishing to complete the Edexcel Level 7 BTEC Advanced Professional Certificate in Management Studies, semester three of the Pre-Masters course will include, provisionally, the following additional units: Managing Change in Organizations: The Creative Manager; Strategic Marketing Management; and Leadership of Your Organisation.
